Artist's Comments
For my dad and his fiancee', a gift for their upcoming wedding.
So as you can tell I went with the lovebird theme here...was originally going to do both characters with the peachface lovebirds markings but when I went to look up pictures of lovebirds, I discovered there were many more beautiful varieties. So to contrast with all the greens and yellows, I went with blue for him.
Wing anatomy problems aside, I think the recipients will be pleased with this. My scanner is brutal with bright colors, and no matter how much I try to fix it in Photoshop it always gets messed up. The original is NOT this bright yellow! Colors are much smoother.
Still deciding if I want to do prints of this...not sure cuz the color is so screwy. Anyway, size is 11" x 14", done in colored pencils as always.
*Note to self * Take down some notes from those wing tutorials in your favorites and USE THEM NEXT TIME! XD
